About Marin Tides
Marin Tides is a free tide chart for Marin County, California. It covers 19 places by the names people use for them, from Stinson Beach, Bolinas and Duxbury Reef to Dillon Beach, Tomales Bay, Sausalito, San Rafael and the Petaluma River.
Big tide sites list thousands of stations by their official names. Here every page starts with the place you are going and says which NOAA station its times come from and how far away that station is. Each page also covers what the tide changes there, such as when the reef is exposed, when the lagoon channel runs hardest or when the road floods.
The predictions are NOAA's. The tide clock, chart, minus tides, moon phases and sunrise times are worked out from them for Pacific time. See how tide predictions work for the details and the limits.
Tide predictions are for planning a day at the shore. They are not for navigation, and they cannot account for storms, swell or sneaker waves. Check conditions when you arrive, and never turn your back on the ocean.
